Privacy policy

Soundbank is provided by Dahl Industries AB, organisation number 559554-6069, Stockholm, Sweden. This policy covers the Soundbank iPhone and iPad app, App Clip, and Soundbank web music player.

Information on your device

The app stores theme preferences, saved and muted tracks, and personal playlist names and membership on your device. Soundbank does not require an account. Deleting the app removes its local data, subject to backups controlled through your Apple settings.

Volume 1 does not include voice recording, transcription, or personal music uploads. Its music catalog is curated by Soundbank.

Sharing clips

If you choose to export a Soundbank music clip, the app creates an audio file and opens the system share sheet. The recipient or editing app you select receives that file and handles it under its own terms. Sharing is optional.

Speakers and local-network access

If you choose to connect a compatible speaker, the full app requests local-network access to discover and communicate with it. For Cast playback, selected music may be temporarily made available to the selected receiver on your local network. Speaker features are optional.

Third-party app technology

The full app includes Google Cast SDK 4.8.6. Its bundled privacy declaration identifies Device ID, Product Interaction, and Other Diagnostic Data used for analytics and app functionality, declared as not linked to identity and not used for tracking. See Google’s privacy policy. The App Clip does not include Google Cast or Sonos; its three audio previews are bundled and play locally.

The web music player

The website streams Soundbank music and assets from Vercel. Ordinary hosting and security logs may include IP addresses, request paths, and device or browser information. See Vercel’s privacy policy. The Soundbank web player does not request microphone access, upload personal music, or add advertising trackers or analytics.

Support and your rights

If you email support, we receive the information you include and use it to answer your request. Hosting security and support correspondence help us operate the service. Where we hold personal data, contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, or to object where applicable. You may complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY. We cannot retrieve preferences stored only on your device.

Advertising, children, and changes

Soundbank does not include advertising or use data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. It is not directed specifically to children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal information directly through the app. We update this page when our practices change; the effective date identifies the current version.
